I tested this software on a Windows 7 computer, said my registry was 8% fragmented, then after the defrag only 1%, noticeable difference in boot time after, much faster than before!, all i can say is that it did work on my computer with no faults whatsoever! Cons. I can find no faults with this software, it actually did improve my boot time! Summary. It worked for me!

However correct you are about a Registry Defrag, whereby I am recently used called Auslogics Registry Defrag. A Registry Cleaner is more a utility program that's genuine snake oil; and potentially damaging! I had to re- install Windows XP, Service Pack 3 whereby one of the reasons may have been that I over- cleaned the Registry. Furthermore, in a very recent, troubleshooting book by Dan ******, said that it could be damaging; but more so that how could a ? I've studied desktop publishing at college at night school, digital and film photography and sculpture; I have forgotten the technical terminology on the Registry, don't have the deep knowledge, skill that you possess, but I suppose you know what ****** is talking about. I'm only here because I'm trying to track down the one I used last time.. Pros. Easy install, no added toolbar or other nonsense.

Cons. Ran the scanner, it said the program could reduce the registry by 5%. Let it do its thing, and after a restart the registry size was actually BIGGER!!! Summary. Program hasn't been updated in over a year now. Don't waste your time downloading this, it doesn't do what it claims.
